The recent announcement by the Royal Australian Navy that it had appointed Spain's Navantia to design three Air Warfare Destroyers and two amphibious vehicles - a contract worth AU$11 Billion - puts this decision into perspective.
The international programme includes companies spanning three continents including Lockheed Martin, Navantia, Saab and Tenix Defence (at least half of which have already confirmed participation in MAST 2008), and so MAST (with its global audience, and aversion to running regional spin-off events) is the perfect event at which to showcase such international cooperation.
Following this November's event to take place in Genoa, Italy, MAST 2008 will take place in the ideal location of Cadiz, Spain between Wednesday 12th and Friday 14th November.
