US Coast Guard backs MAST Americas – featured paper

MAST Americas organisers are delighted to announce an exclusive paper to be given by the US Coast Guard’s Science & Technology Advisor (George Guy Thomas).

George Guy Thomas conceived and helped invent AIS from space, and was instrumental in putting the first receivers in space.

His presentation (“Collaboration in Space for International Global Maritime Awareness”) will discuss dramatic changes in many aspects of maritime operations beyond and including surveillance, and 

detail work between the coast guard and the State department over the last 8 months on how to implement many aspects of surveillance and more.
